Back story: Indesplice, as a child, was very curious about the way things worked. He loved taking things apart and putting them back together in a slightly different way. If he can find something, he'll try to take it apart and make it more advanced, usually by combining it with something else. Besides revamping and revitalizing random machinery, he also likes to invent his own devices and make sculptures out of the scraps he obtains. By selling his creations he has developed his own little business to which he makes a decent amount of money to support his hobby. Because of said hobby, he spent most of his time at home in his basement working. His obsession with enhancing and re-organizing things gives him little time to spend with actual people, consequentially his socializing skills weren't the best. The only time he ever left his room was to procure more supplies and to go to school. Despite is lack of social skills he is very kindhearted and generous to those who he let's close to him, though due to his shyness he doesn't usually show this side of him and often just shrinks into himself when confronted, though when he's given a chance to take something apart, he jumps at the opportunity and takes to it like a fish to water(Think of it as being like Fluttershy, though not quite as severe as what you see in the first episode).  All around a very talented young boy, though his awkwardness makes it difficult for him to develop ties between other people.

P.S. To avoid any confusion, the back story does not reflect my own life. Just something I made up.

Place of Residence: Officially Cloudsdale, but never really stays there with parents.  Usually spending all his time in the Everfree Forest and even sleeps there.

Back Story: Ever since Dusk could remember, he always loved flying fast, and dangerously.  This might be why he loves flying at night, and more specifically in the Everfree Forest, as one branch left unseen can cause a terrible accident.  He has lived in Cloudsdale all his life, but around age 8, he started visiting the ground where he found the Everfree Forest.  Unafraid, he ventured through.  Ever since this day, he has pretty much stayed in the Everfree Forest, visiting his family in Cloudsdale every few days, or whenever he gets hungry.  All the time, he trains himself to be the fastest flier of the night, with dreams of being a master at stealth.  Because he spends all his time in the Everfree Forest, and everpony knows no pony in their right mind would ever go in there, he gets lonely at times.   Despite this, he does have an animal that follows him around and keeps him company, a raven he calls Kuro.  Together, they fly around most hours of the day, Dusk ever continuing his training for flying.  That is, until he decided to go into Ponyville to show off his wing strength.  (Maybe he can start out a pony, and one of the ones the humans turned ponies meet in Equestria. He could have just come to Ponyville as the new ponies arrive in Equestria.)

Backstory: ThunderClap or John in the human world is an expert with working with metal and machinery. He can craft armor, weapons, and anything that is made from metal. He can also repair metal objects. ThunderClap is a carefree and at times very childish individual. But when the time is appropriate, ThunderClap is very serious and determined and will do anything for his friends. He is also very interested in musical instruments and is very social.

Ok, this post is going on here to get rid of some of the confusion that seems to be goin around.

1: yes, we are humans at first, and are rounded up to be brought to equestria, and upon arrival, we are ponies.

2: backstories are for your human lives, and description is your pony self.

During one of the chapters of Pulling Heartstrings, Jason visits an alternate universe, wherein the main character of Our Newfound Lives.... erm lives. Anyways, at first, Blinky (my oc for Our Newfound Lives) is told that there is a way to travel between universes and dimensions, and is given the exact calculations needed to arrive where Nova (Pulling Heartstrings) came from, though Blinky is only given a name, and nothing more, as this event takes place before the idea of reinventing the My Little Pony franchise was brought to Lauren Faust. Years later, Blinky becomes a brony, and then happens upon the note that was left by Nova, outlining everything; Blinky is then contacted by Nova again in another chapter, saying that him and a group of his friends are needed to come right away. Blinky then sets off to gather the needed resources; the first, being a building that has a basement far enough underground that the device which is used to cross universes will not interfere with anything else... that building, is The Bellagio Hotel, and Our Newfound Lives starts right after the acquisition.
